Mac OSX Mac Mail Setup
- From the Mail menu, click Preferences.
- Select the Accounts tab.
- Set Email Address to your full email address
- Set Incoming Mail Server to mail.yourdomail.com (of course repalcing domain.com with your actual domain)
- Enter your full email address as your username
- Enter your password
- Click on the domain listed in Outgoing Mail Server, and choose edit server list
- If there is not a server name, click the plus sign and add one, using mail.yourdomail.com
- You may choose use default port if you wish, however some ISPs block standard ports.
In this case, 26 is a good alternative. Leave Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Unchecked
- Choose Password in the Authentication dropdown
- Enter your full email address for User Name
- Enter your password
- Click OK
- Once back on your account summary page, click the advanced tab
- Make sure 110 is in the Port, and Use SSL in Unchecked
- Choose Password from the Authentication dropdown menu
- If you are using multiple computers, or mobile devices, you may find leaving the mail on the server for a day, or week useful, otherwise choose none.
